Grūna Gallery and Buffalo Prescott present Communion, a multidisciplinary installation by Buffalo Prescott resident artist Jessica Wildman Katz, during Season Fair at The Shepherd, September 11–13, 2026. Constructed at human scale from thousands of hand-stitched zippers and a copper pipe armature, Communion explores ideas of home, motherhood, connection, and our shared responsibility to one another and the natural world.

Returning for its second year, Season brings together galleries and arts organizations from Detroit and beyond for a contemporary art fair rooted in the city’s creative community.
